I am a Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University, supervised by Prof. Justin Chan. I am affiliated with Mobile Sensing Lab. I'm also collaborating with Prof. Swarun Kumar and Mr. Kuang Yuan. I completed the bachelor degree at PolyU, supervised by Prof. Yuanqing Zheng and by Prof. Ka Chung Boris NG. I was also supervised by Prof. Tianyi Zhang at Purdue CS in Human-Centered Software Systems Lab, Prof. Haohan Wang at UIUC School of Information Sciences in DREAM Lab, Prof. Pengtao Xie at UCSD ECE, Prof. Mingmin Zhao at UPenn CIS.
My research interests mainly focus on the intersection of wireless systems, machine learning and their potential applications on healthcare. My long-term research goal is to create intelligent systems that are easily applicable in real-world scenarios, particularly in areas with healthcare disparities. I am committed to building fundamental systems which can be: 1. easily set up. 2. cheap enough. 3. robust in different environments.
My past research focused on Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), with the intersection of Physics (Light, Electromagnetic Waves), Biomedical (Proteins, Alzheimer's Disease), and Wireless Systems (LoRa signals). To be exact, I once researched Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Science, Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT) Systems and Robotics. If you are also interested in these fields, welcome to communicate with me in these areas. I also worked with Prof. Lingjie Liu, Prof. Ningning Hou, Mr. Zhi Tu, Dr. Xueying Zhan, Prof. Siyu Huang closely.
My dear girlfriend, Ms. Xinyu Wang, works on Computational Biology. Her goal is to leverage machine learning algorithms for molecular modeling and model evaluation to enhance human understanding of macromolecules—particularly proteins and protein-RNA complexes. Feel free to focus on her work!
At last, my research philosophy is to use technology to benefit people in the world. COVID-19 once destroyed my most important things, and there are many people suffering from various diseases, so I hope to utilize my knowledge to protect the people I love.
